Creating bootable USB drive

Hi,

I've recently downlaoded a copy of the HIRENS Boot CD 13.1 as an ISO image. I plan to copy this to a 8GB USB drive in order to boot from it.

The question is : am I required to format the USB drive using anything special to make it bootable, prior to copying the ISO onto it? If so, can anyone recommend any software to do that?

Thanks,
Golden

The easiest way to create a multiboot ISO pendrive is to use the Yumi multiboot USB Creator. YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator (Windows) | USB Pen Drive Linux

Try it and you will never look back. My post Creating a bootable flash drive from ISO file may be of help.

Hi Golden. Where did you get it from. The Hirens download link is being blocked by Malwarebytes.

The download link for the zip file is blocked. Perhaps I won't bother.
