    GPO with Windows 7?

    I currently have four computers at my house that all basically have the same programs installed on them, so installing program updates gets a bit tedious. I was wondering if there was some way to use my desktop (Windows 7 x64 Pro) the same way you would push programs out with group policy on Windows Server 2008 or 2003? Or if there is any other better method out there?

    I'm a bit OCD when it comes to having all my programs updated on all of my machines, so if there is any way to make it easier, I'd greatly appreciate it. Most of the programs I am talking about are just .exe files and I'm using 2 Windows 7 machines, a Vista, and an XP, if that matters.

    Use Clonezilla, it was designed for such deployment;

    There are also lots of other applications for deploying software updates.

    The simplest way to do it is install the programs on the server, ( as long as they allow it), and simply call them from the other machines on the net. That means n you only have to install them once.
