    Crystal Report 7 Issue


    When i am going to run crytal report 7 application from vb in one of my windows7 machine it works fine,at the same time we run same application on another windows 7 machine it shows an error "Can't find database dll".Pls advise where it is problem.

    Well, I would suggest contacting their tech support, but before doing that, I'd try reinstalling Crystal Report 7 on the machine that's giving you trouble.

    I have not installed crystal report7,I just run the vb exe with crystal 7 dll and ocx.I don't know where it is problem

    How did you get Crystal Reports 7? Was it bundled with software, or did you purchase it alone?

    I would say try searching for database.dll on the other machine, and see if the file exists. If it does, copy it to the machine having the issue, and see if that remedies the problem.

    I have an report file called "OrderStatus.rpt" on D:\,When i open this report in vb exe it shows an error "Can not find database dll",although i have installed all supported dll and ocx for vb and crystal report .I am realy facing problem for past two month.pls solve my problem as soon as possible.

    Note;_
    as per your suggesstion i had search database.dll (on working machine),but we can't find that file in any location.

    Well, how about the following files?

    p2irdao.dll
    p2bdao.dll
    p2ctdao.dll
    p2sodbc.dll

    yes, the above files are already available in C:\Windows\System32\.

    Interesting. Out of curiosity, have you tried installing a trial version of Crystal Reports 7? Maybe installing that, then running it the way you normally do will add the file you're missing.
