Having a major brain melt down! 6 days now, I have been trying to install Adobe X Pro. Been one issue after another with no end in sight. First couple days were spent getting Adobe Reader uninstalled and everything out of the registry. Major "permission" issues all connected to Adobe installs. Now the danged program will not install because it "cannot stop the print spooler" at the begiining of the installation. Can't stop the spooler thru Services due to a "Fax" dependency. Still can' t fighure that one out. Uninstalled the fax program and cleaned the registry but no effect. Finally decide to use CMD to stop the spooler. Yay! Got it to stop. Install again only this time it failed at the very end because it "cannot start the print spooler"! About to decided that Adobe was just not meant for me. Until I can resolve this issue, I'm going to have to re-install Adobe Reader for my pdf files. Think I'll wait till tomorrow when I am in a better frame of mind. Any ideas on getting Adobe X Pro to install would be appreciated.
