Adobe Elements 7 wont install. error 1303.

Not sure if this is the right place to post but i really cant figure this out.
Im trying to install the above program on 7260 x86 and i keep getting error 1303 and it tells me i dont have the correct permissions (or rather the installer doesnt) on the install folder.
Ive used the Take ownership hack as well as setting permissions to allow Everyone full access.

Any one got any ideas? Im sure im just missing something but its been bugging me for two days now.

    Thanks.

    Dave.

Right-click on the installer and select Run as Admin.

If that doesn't work, run the installer with "troubleshoot compatibility"

I thought so as well but as this is a permissions problem i wasn't sure where to put it.

Guys, i had tried the above suggestions already. Not getting anywhere.
It works ok under XP, not tried it with Vista yet.
The install gets to about 22% and then gives me the error.

One thing i dont understand is the creator/owner group wont keep its settings. this is the only group that doesnt have full control ticked but when i do tick it and click ok or apply all the boxes revert to un ticked.
    Could this be anything important?

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 is compatible with XP and Vista - but not with Windows 7 (64-bit):

It is supposed to run smoothly under Windows 7 32-bit, but I'm not sure whether this is indeed the case.
Please get the latest version of Photoshop Elements (Adobe Photoshop Elements 10) instead - it is fully compatible with Windows 7.
In addition, Photoshop Elements 9 and above have the Layer Mask feature, which earlier versions do not have ;-)

If you don't want the expense of updating to Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, you could try running your version under XP Mode, although you may take a bit of a performance hit if you do.

Windows XP Mode - Install and Setup

Sorry, forget the above, I've just noticed you're using Windows 7 Home Premium. To take advantage of XP Mode you would need to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.
