    Gmail Notifier not working..

Friend has just bought a new laptop W7 HP x64 upgrading from her old XP machine.

I installed the Gmail notification program but it never alerts when there is new email.

If I right-click and choose 'check for new mail' it just responds 'no new mail' even when there are a dozen new unread messages.

    IMAP is enabled, POP disabled.

I installed it on my own laptop (W7 Pro x64) for one of my Gmail accounts - same result (or lack of).

    Any ideas?

Gmail now has it's own built in notifier.

You may also have to enable desktop notifications in your browser.
It only works of course if you have an open Gmail instance.

Just a heads up, you might want to black out your email addy in the picture you posted. I'm sure it would be rare if some bad person saw it but you never know.
