    Multiple Adober Flash Player Updates

    Greetings all,

    I think it was two days ago that my Adobe Update Manager notified me of an update which I allowed it to download and install. Now this morning I get another such notification. I clicked the option for the updater to remind me later. I first want to see if anyone here is experiencing these multiple update notifications.

    This is not the first time that I have received notifications of an Adobe Flash Player Update within days of each other. If I remember correctly I've received multiple notifications going back at least two months now.

    I've experienced multiple notifications for the same update in the past when using the Adobe Update Manager. That's why I stopped using it and went to the free Secunia PSI.

    If you have more than one browser installed these updates may be for both the IE, and non IE versions? To see if you already have both installed you can check in Add/remove programs (or Revo if you have), and they will show as in the image below;

    You can check the latest versions for both at FileHippo.com;

    Flash Player (IE)

    Flash Player (Non-IE)

    Go down the lists ignoring RC/Beta versions to find the latest stable releases (unless you are confident otherwise).

    If you would prefer to manage Flash updates manually you can stop the auto update notifications via the Adobe’s Settings Manager

    If you use any third party cleaners such as CCleaner to clean Adobe Flash Player items this will reset Adobe’s Settings Manager to it's defaults, each time you clean, and therefore you will continue to receive Flash update notifications.

    Hope this helps you.
