+1 on FDM. It's the best free download manager I've found for working with multiple browsers because it's useful even if it won't "integrate" with the browser. Just leave the drag & drop target window in the corner of the screen and drag the link to it.

I think the best download manager is Free download manager. Always get 100% speed with it and can be used for torrents as well Here's a link to it: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
