    Radio Downloader has stopped working

I've been getting the above message on my pc for a few days. I've tried removing/reinstalling the software and a sysytem restore but with no luck.

Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

My first suggestion would be to uninstall it, reboot, and then download it again, reinstall from that one.

Are you getting any errors or explanation information as to why it stopped? Maybe the DEP window in the lower corner?

I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling it several times but no luck.

I'm not getting any messages as to why it's stopped working just that "Windows is trying to resolve the problem".

Alright. Well, going on a bit of a hunch here, let's add it to DEP's exception list.

    > Right Click on My Computer
    > Properties
    > Advanced System Settings (left hand column)
    > Advanced Tab
    > Performance
    > Data Execution Prevention
    > Change the radio button to be "Turn on DEP Except..."
    > Add
    > Navigate to the executable file for Radio Downloader and select it
    > Back out of all windows (clicking apply as needed)
    > Try running Radio Downloader again

DEP won't let me list Radio Downloader as an exception

Okay. So, I'm willing to bet that what's happening is, when it's launching, if you look at your system tray, you'll see a notification saying that the program was blocked.

Another option would be to try and run the program as an Administrator. Maybe/hopefully that'll help.

I'm not getting the blocked message at all.

I've tried running the programme as Administrator as well.

Okay, just so I'm clear, could you link me to the program's website? I want to do some testing on Monday when I'm back in front of a W7 machine, but I also want to make sure I'm working with the right software. :)

    I believe this is it:

    Radio Downloader

Do you use a firewall? Could it be that it is blocking the application?

That is indeed the software I am reffering to.

Even adding it to the list of allowed progs doesn't solve the problem.
