HELP!!!!!!! my cool " taskbar" vanished!!!!!

I have windows 7, 64 bit. Its a laptop from Dell.

I have always had this cool " tool bar, task bar" kind of thing that hung down from the top of my screen on my desktop. It had a button for the web cam, Word, Excel, Trash can, internet Explorer, etc. I did not install this, it came with my computer last year.

Last night I had to uninstall and reinstall my printer, as it was unable to communicate with my computer. When I finished the install, I shut down and restarted the computer. When I opened it back up, the cool " task bar" was missing!! I used it all the time. Not only do I not know what it is called, I have no idea where it could have gone, or why it left.

Does anyone know how I can get it back? And please you very clear layman terms. I can find my way around, but I have ZERO tech skills, so I will need CLEAR STEP BY STEP directions.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!

This is a dock provided by Dell. It probably did not vanish, it just got disabled. Somewhere in the Dell support/housekeeping programs there must be a place to reenable it. It is actually a Stardock. You can also look into Start > All Programs - if you find it there under the name of DellDock or Stardock, start it from there.

Sorry, I do not have a Dell and do not know exactly where the controls are. With Google I found a lot of threads explaining it. Maybe you want to have a look there. Just Google Dell Dock. Here is a video I saw which may be useful once you have it back:

Glad you got it solved. Enjoy your dock. I use the Rocket Dock. It is very similar.
