    WIN 7 & Nero 10

I am using Windows 7. It works perfectly with Pinnacle Studio V14. I installed Nero 10 and want to use it to create templates for new dvd`s to be burnt. I go to Nero Vision 10> Nerovisision Xtra> Make DVD>DVD VIDEO.
I can create the template up to the point where I want to modify the chapter button with a picture, and change the font etc. AT THIS POINT THE SCREEN FADES TO WHITE AND IGET A MEASSAGE:"NERO IS NOT RESPONDING."
I have downloaded Nero via internet and have recieved all latest updates.
The technicians at Nero dont seem to be able to resolve my pri\oblem and frustration.
Could this be a Windows 7 problem?

Hello Johan, welcome to the forum.

Windows 7 and Nero 10 are certainly compatible:

Thank You Irene. I had no doubt that Win 7 & Nero 10 was compatible. However, Nero Vision Extra is not performing to standard. COULD IT BE THAT MY ASUS ENG T220 1GB GRAPHICS CARD IS NOT CAPABLE OF PROCESSING NERO COMMANDS FAST ENOUGH, CAUSING THE COMPUTER TO FREEZE UP?

    Regards

I am not sure about that Johan, I will ask other members who are more knowledgeable about graphics cards and hardware issues.

This is unlikely to be caused with the GPU, and probably either a bad install or a software incompatibility.

    Try uninstalling and reinstalling Nero.

Johan, do you by any chance use BitDefender Anti-Virus? If so, we may have found the problem:
Nero Vision 10 /Bitdefender problem solved - Official Nero Forum

    Solution:
    Open BitDefender

Open BitDefender Active Virus Control Settings

    Open Advanced Settings

    Add Path C/Program Files/Nero/Nero 10/Nero Vision/Nero Vision.exe

Dear Irene, Thanks for your suggestion. Regrettably I do not use BitDefendr Anti Virus. I use Kaspersky instead. This was stoped during the download of Nero 10 and I made the checksum which confirmed that total download was successful.I stil have the problem. Regards. Johan.

Pinnacle and Nero have a long history of conflicting with each other in the past; you might consider uninstalling Pinnacle and Nero then install Nero one more time and see if that clears it up.

If that does solve the problem then try installing Pinnacle after Nero is on the system and working properly.

Kasperskey, another form of conflict. Do you have Nero as one of your Trusted Applications? Nero, ImgBurn and Kaspersky threads here:

Irene, thanks for the tips and the thread links. Before I go to the trouble of unloding and reloading Pinnacle and Nero, I will follow the kaspersky suggestions.
    Kind regards
