    I think he is looking for something like this. How to get PSD Thumbnails working in Vista64? - Vista Forums I have no idea if it will apply to windows 7.

    restoring thumbnails for photoshop jpg files


    open any folder that holds jpg files. On the menu bar, click on ORGANIZE. Choose the tab that says VIEW. Uncheck the first option (Always show icons, never thumbnails). Click on the APPLY button. It worked for me!

Hi I'm not talking about PSD files here, just jpgs and other "regular" image formats. I have no problems with seeing thumbnails by default in any other software's File Open dialogs other than Photoshop (CS4 in my case). No matter what I have tried in Folder Options (yadda yadda) PS CS4 refuses...

Running a HP Pavilion Entertainment, more than enough RAM & etc., Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit build 7068. Alright -- my friend who put my computer together couldn't get CS4 (Master Collection, but I'm only installing the bridge and 64-bit CS4) to work, but he left the burned discs on my computer...
