Windows 7: Weird Sticky Notes Behavior

Weird Sticky Notes Behavior

I've been using sticky notes for a while now since I got Windows 7. I really like it but sometimes it has a mind of its own.

Once in a while random characters will appear on one of the notes. Sometimes even spaces will appear where there shouldn't be any. Well lately it's gotten really funny. When I type a url into the url bar in IE, the website name will appear on one of the notes. For instance, if I type <enter>, "bmw" will appear on one of the notes. Not Just bmw will appear. Is that not the strangest thing? I'm not sure if it happens right away or later, but it does happen and has happened twice so far.

I've scoured the internet trying to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing and haven't been able to find anything even remotely similar. I can't even find anything on this website regarding this issue.

Has anyone else experienced this weirdness?

In my case it had nothing to do with Sticky Notes, rather than with Touchpad sensitivity.
On some laptops cursor could just randomly jump all over.

You could try this solution
Touchpad settings

You could also try using Sticky Notes from Windows Vista.

No sticky notes?
Hi, I just developed a need for the sticky note function, but it's nowhere to be found. I searched for sticky, and sticky notes, in the Start menu - nothing. It's not listed on the Windows components list either. I must be the only one without sticky notes!

I've used a 3M program before which had issues with multiple screens sometimes, so I was happy to see the new standard sticky app. I'm a bit disappointed with MS for letting this behave like any other app window - when I click the show desktop button, I'd like to see all my stickies that I...
