    DriverAgent

    Hi folks

Are there any known issues with Driver Agent? I downloaded the members version and installed to update my drivers/scan my registry. Is this reputable software?

I have no experience with this particular program but any other I have researched only offers to let you pay for something that could easily be done through a search on Google.

This is not XP. WIndows 7 is driver-complete in its installer, with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates when you enable hardware auto-updating: Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware

Any drivers then missing in Device Manager can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for the model computer or device.

I would not change out any driver given by the installer and updates unless there are performance issues pointing to it as a problem.

Many have a hard time adjusting to this because driver-hunting was such a crucial piece of XP and early Vista. But MS spend a fortune getting drivers into the WIn7 installer or via Updates, even paying manufacturers under WHQL to build drivers so they wouldn't hold out to force us to buy newer hardware like they did with Vista.

ALmost all registry cleaners except CCleaner Reg tab are sales scams with no genius behind them - they will mess up your system.
