    Sandboxie

How can I get Sandboxie installed on a 64-bit system? I do not have the trouble with driver signing as I have DSEO which overrides that. The problem is the installer won't run on a 64-bit system (it explains the error message). Does anyone know how to or a substitute program?

64 Bit is not supported. Look here: www.sandboxie.com :: View Forum - 64-bit

    I don't want a 64-bit version, I just want to run it on 64-bit as a 32-bit program.

But 32bit doesnt work as you said on your first post. www.sandboxie.com :: View topic - Windows Vista and Sandboxie (32/64 Bit) ? For a 64bit OS you need a 64bit version of Sandboxie wich doesnt exist. And btw i wouldnt use workarounds for security software. You cant be 100% sure it works as advertised.

You do realize you can run 32-bit programs on 64-bit Windows correct?

That's correct. However you can't run any sandboxie environment on the 64bit operating system. It won't let you do this and mostly crash.

You can install Sandboxie on 64bit OS without any problem as the application, but it won't run so installing it there is useless.

    Cheers...

Did you read the link i gave you? The developer of Sandboxie himself says that for a 64bit os you wil need a 64bit version of Sandboxie. If you think you can install it successfully good luck. More info (on Vista-64bit but i think its the same for Win7-64bit): www.sandboxie.com :: View topic - so disappointed in vista-64

Regular programs. Sandboxie is not a regular program.

You might give virtual box a try. My old scanner does not have drivers available for Vista on so I installed XP in Virtual Box to use my scanner. Works good in Win 7. I also have several flavors of linux installed....
