    DVD Burning Software

I've tried some of the free versions out there and ran into performance and consistency issues. Can people suggest reliable and fast DVD burning software for making backups for tablet & smartphone playback?

    Thanks!

It is not exactly clear as to what you want. Can you please elaborate what free versions you tried and also a bit more about the performance and consistency issues you found. That would perhaps make it clear.

I tried Handbrake and Free Video Recorder. Free Video Recorder took over and hour to burn a single DVD and the initial load time was very long as well. I am looking for something with a simple interface that can easily create backups for my tablet and phone.

I cannot recommend ImgBurn enough. It's light, easy and simple to use. I use it all the time for all my burning needs.

I presume that you want to convert videos into DVD format and burn DVDs. You may try Freemake video converter and check whether it suits you. Free Video Converter | MP3 MP4 AVI 3GP MKV DVD | FREE Download

I am trying to take a DVD and burn it into an acceptable format for tablets (ipad & android). Looking for something that is fast and can create smaller files for use on these type of devices. I guess I should of titled this Ripping Software. Sorry for the confusion.

    Thanks!

This will work for you, Format Factory. Make sure you uncheck the optional software. This will convert the files to what you want. Then use IMGBURN as listed above.
