Help, need processes activity detection

hello, i need help fast, im searching for application, the one like FILEMON.exe
the one that spy's all the processes activity on the windows, like what file in what second accesses witch another file, what writes where, what file reads where.

the problem is, FILEMON crashes in windows 7 after running like 10 seconds, cause it was developed back in windows xp days... and the compatibility wont help here..

once i have spotted the one filemon older version witch one dint crashed in 7, but i cant remember now the version of it...

So, does anybody knows a similar good app for this? of the way how make filemon dont crash? i need to spy one app to figure out, where it stores the settings

Process monitor in the sysinternals suite is I believe the replacement for the filemon application
