    Issue with VMWare Tools on Win7 Build 7600


    I have run most all the RC builds in a VMWare test environment. Up until now I have not had any issue installing and running VMWare Tools in the VM running Windows 7 RC. Now with the last two RTM 7600 builds after installing VMWare Tools and upon reboot the system just hangs before the login screen appears. Has anyone else experienced this?

    It must be some other startup item causing this. Use this tutorial to disable some startup items.

    These are fresh installs of both 7600.16385 and 7600.16384. If I revert to a snapshot prior to installing the VM Tools the systems start fine.

    If someone finds finds a way to make this work without disabling UAC please let me know.

Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 to Build 7601? An Icon Pack was saying install on to 7600 only and after I checked my regedit, I learned that I have 7601 (Probably SP1, I don't know). Would I have any problems if I install the icon pack? Thanks.
I got VMWare player 3.0.1 and I put windows 7 on virtual machine, so I can test out some software before installing on my system. Problem is I can't install the VMware tools, when I did the same thing for Vista, after the installation the VMware tools automatically installed. Any suggestions?...

couple of hours after the x64 was leaked has anyone installed this build? any noticeable changes? post them here! :D
About half hour/hour into my online game of L4D on VS mode my game freezes up and makes a constant buzzing sound? And I have to manually hold the power button on the comp to reboot and during boot it asks to start windows normally or last known good config. Anyone have any trouble like this?...
