Now that I will have to consider buying office, what are the main differences between 2007 and 2010?
There is about 10 price difference for H+S from Amazon UK.

Are there any opinions about the two, like which is easier to use?

There are advances in the 2010 version over the 2007, but many people will not notice them. The changes are subtle, such as the ability to edit the ribbon.

The major reason for seriously considering the 2010 version is that of support - both versions are currently fully supported by Microsoft but this will not be true at some point in the future

A the cost premium is not great, the fact that Microsoft support for the 2010 suite will continue for several more years than that for 2007, would be a good enough reason to go for the 2010.

One thing to check is if you use any particular add-ons - confirm that these will work with 2010 before purchase - should not be an issue but important to check none the less.

There is also the trial option of Office 2010 - this would allow you to make up your own mind as to how it works with the way you do

Do you really need to purchase the whole suite? If you only use it for very minor features, just use Office Live. It's free, and gives you plenty of storage for your documents.

:

Having searched and given up on finding the key, I found the disk when not looking somewhere it should never have been.

Sorry for wasting time.

Product keys interchangeable?
I recently bought Windows 7 Professional via the student deal. I've read that when buying Windows 7 for the full price you get both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions included on the disc. This is not the case with the student deal as my cd includes the 32 bit version only. At the moment I want to...
