Looking For Software For Isolation Of Music Tracks

I wasn't sure if I should have posted this in the Audio forum. If I misposted, please accept my apologies and feel free to movie it.

I'm looking for a solution that can isolate tracks from a song into their respective parts. For example, extract the drum track or bass track and export them to .mp3 or .wav files.

I've searched and searched and I've come up with nothing that seems to be what I'm looking for...so input from someone that's used something would prove most valuable.

It's like unbaking a cake. You cannot seperate the components once they've been combined. There is software that, thru various comb filters can remove a vocal track - karioke-ize the song. But there is no commercial or commonly availble software that can seperate a recorded song into its component tracks. All you can do is isolate frequencies. And instruments, or tracks if you will, produce a variety of frequencies. But it's the combining of the various frequencies that create the song. And once combined, cannot be uncombined.
