Visual Basic wildcard for "any numeric character" ?

ActiveCell.Replace What:="#", Replacement:="# trays of eggs", _

I want the # to represent "any numeric character between 0 and 9)
What do I change the # to?

eg: I want a cell containing "9" to be changed to "9 trays of eggs"

(I am doing a macro in excel.)
