can't get into regedit!!!

i can't get into my registry. I have tried a few google options but they don't explain enough. One was "C:\WINDOWS\system32" and then to look for command.com which isn't there, Help please

Did you tryed with this:
Click on Start button and write regedit,and in Run write regedit.exe ?

Hi hollyoaks777,

Can you search regedit in the Start menu?

Try running the SFC/SCANNOW command.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Do you have a system restore point from a time that you could access regedit? If so, try restoring.
