LogMeIn - wake on Lan question, or???

I've begun using LogMeIn to control my family's computers back at home, and all has been fine for normal use. But I'm curious about this "Wake on Lan" ability. In the actual program installed on the computers: Options>Preferences>Advanced>Enable Wake on Lan is enabled. I've checked, and so far as I can tell I have "Wake on Lan" enabled in all 3 BIOS in question.

On the website, I see I have the option to "Power On" my brother's laptop, so that 1's good. But the other two don't show this option. They are:
BIOSTAR A880G+ Micro ATX
ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

Does anybody have any insight for how to properly enable Wake On Lan for these boards?

You did not mention what type of laptop your brother has but there are some laptops (and desktops) that with the right chipset, allow for powering on via a completely off state over the network (which may be in your case). Then again, if you're just talking about waking from sleep mode, I take all that back.

The motherboard has to have a more business-class chipset modifications (like Intel's vPro) in order for the machine to power on from being completely off.

if you have it on in the BIOS and on in the software (where applicable), it is possible there is a compatibility conflict preventing you from using LogMeIn to wake a machine. (waking and turning on are two different things).

I've poured over the BIOS for these 2 already. My brother's laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1545 with an Intel chipset. The other 2 being AMD, I guess they're just not able to remotely power on. I will test waking them out of hibernation/sleep and see if that works at least. I can't keep the 2 desktops on at all times while I'm away, but there are times when no one is around them for me to just call and say, hey turn the computer on.

Most of the time you can wake them from sleep and if you can put the desktops to sleep while you are away, they can wake when network activity is detected. That is what I usually do.
