    Ok I would now like you to try a system restore; System Restore go back to a point before you were having this problem.
    When you have done that do this; SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker.
    After this go to Control Panel, Programs, uninstall a program and use the snipping tool to make a copy of the java entry, save it to your desktop and upload it using the paperclip symbol. See my snip so you know what I am after,

    hi i previously used systems restor but cant go back to time when i didnt have this problem as it will not let me go back further than the times when i thought i didn't have this problemdone because i have done this so many times.. looking back i do not think java has ever worked properly on my pc as couldnt find icon. when i tried to uninstall as i had so many versions on my pc before installing latest update i got the 2753 erro this is what started it all so i deleted all java in registry as latest version wouldnt install did reg cleaner and you know the rest

    Have you tried the offline installer? Save the file to your computer and then install by clicking on the downloaded file.

    You might also need to remove existing versions before installing the latest. See Why should I remove older versions of Java from my system?
