    What's The Best HDD Eraser?

    Hi,

Anyone have any experience with HDD erasers? I tried to use DBAN but I tried several methods to get it to work on my laptop but it kept throwing up an error each time or plain wouldn't boot

So can anyone recommend any decent HDD erasing software?

Note: I'm not looking to smash the HDD

    Thanks.

Well normally the first thing I would recommend would be DBAN, it is one of the best bootable discs for exactly what you're trying to do. You might have a bad image (.iso) file, or perhaps the disc is not being burned in the proper manner. What are you using for iso recording?

    http://www.dban.org/

Both good, both have their uses in different situations. Take a look and decide what's best for you :)
