A Program To See Typing History

    Hi,

Is there any program that will help me to see my typing history? The problem is, I wrote a document, but there was an error and the file corrupted. The amount of the text was big. Now I wonder if I can see my typing history to copy the info back.

    Thanks in advance!

Unless you had a specific program configured BEFORE your document crushed, it is not possible to get history of your typing.

However, you can try to recover that file.

Thanks for your answer. Well the actual situation is, I worked with LibreOffice on Microsoft Word 2010 file. After saving the doc, everything seemed fine, just after another try to open the doc, MS would say it is a corrupted file and Libreoffice would show question marks.

The recovery options given by you did not help me unfortunately. Does there seem to be any other way to recover files? I tried at least 4 program tools, but none of them did a job.

Ok. I assume that text of the document was in language other than Latin-based. Is saving in that language supported in LibreOffice in normal situation? in Word?

Also, you can PM me link to that document, and I will try to play with it, if you want.

You are right, it was not Latin-based, but before that I had no problem saving documents in Georgian language, which is supported by both Office suites.

I sent you the copy of the file.

Turns out that LibreOffice can open docx, but can not save them.

When I open your file in HEX editor, it didn't have any descriptions of that file format. It just had your text in it.
However, you text converted to bunch of "3F", which would be question marks. Nothing can be done with this file.

You can try to search of remaining hidden technical drafts or parts of this document with Undelete360.

LibreOffice can save .docx files in Georgian, I have done that on numerous occasions. I tried all your suggestions, but none of them helped me. As it seems, there have been fatal error : ))

Nevertheless, great thanks for your help.

By the way, it is always better to work in .odt when using Libreoffie, isn't it?
