    Windows 7 - burning function

    Hi!
I'd like to burn files onto my DVD using Windows Explorer. When I drag the files to the DVD it lasts very long. I've heard that Windows copies files into Temp folder and that's the reason. Is there any solution to turn it off? I don't want to change or move the copy folder. I want to burn the files directly, without unnecessary copying and waiting. I don't want any burning software alternatives.

    Thanks in advance.

If you don't want any alternatives, then you might not be interested in the solution. Honestly, the built-in burning app is junk, basically by design. If Microsoft had made it a useful, quality program, the other vendors would have sued to get it removed.

You're best bet, like it or not, is to use one of the better, free alternatives. On top of all I mentioned, the alternatives give you FAR more control over your burning. There's no reason at all to avoid them. Did I mention they are more reliable?
