Windows 7: Visual Studio 2008 on Windows 7 64 bit

Hello,



I am trying to install en_visual_studio_2008_professional_x86_dvd on windows 7 64 bit.
I am unable to do so. Please see screenshot and logs for more details.

I realise this doesn't help you, but I have Visual Studio 2008 installed under Win 7 x64 without any difficulty.

Have you checked the links in your third screenshot, in particular the one for Microsoft?

Can I ask where you obtained your software?

The log you provide says the install failed at the outset because cabinet files couldn't be unpacked, which suggests the DVD is faulty.

Welcome to Seven Forums mohan168. Are you installing from a disk, or a downloaded iso file? If from a disk, suggest copying the contents of the disk to your hard drive, then try installing from there. If from a download, it may be that your download is corrupted.
