    Uninstalling

I just had a quick question.

I was simply wondering if installing, and uninstalling programs often would cause any harm to the system, or to the hard drive. Sometimes I am indecisive and will uninstall a program just to reinstall it later that day, or a few days later.

So anyways, will it cause damage to anything by uninstalling programs to often from your computer?

I maintain my computer well. I defragment the hard drive weekly, check for registries every time I uninstall a program, and manually go through the program files and delete any remaining pieces of the program.

Thanks in advance for your answers. I greatly appreciate them.

Welcome to Seven Forums BlueBerryShadow. That kind of activity will cause fragmentation and leave useless registry entries. No actual harm is done though, many of us do the same I suspect. As you are careful when cleaning the registry and defragging regularly you should be fine. Win7 does auto defragging and in my sig is a link to CCleaner which has a decent reg cleaner built-in.

Thank you. I use Kaspersky, Defraggler, and CCleaner. :P Thanks again, just wanted to make sure this kind of thing would not break my computer. :P Thanks again.
