I am pretty sure that the system restore would have restored the
system files - including the registry - to the prior to Nero condition.
Just run>regedit>Edit>find> Nero and confirm that there are no Nero entries.
The left-over folders may be deleted manually - not a big deal. Many program uninstallers do leave such folders and that is where Revo uninstaller revels. Add it to your kitty to uninstall unwanted programs.
(And yes, the time taken by System Restore depends upon the volume of changes that had taken place after you had created that particular restore point. Where minimal changes have taken place it will be fast and that is no indication of its efficacy or otherwise. By the same token, sometimes System Restore may take a long time. It will say System Restore is initialising and appear to have hung. Do not lose your patience and abort System Restore. That will be inviting trouble - my personal experience.
