    software issues

thank you for your time. if this is the wrong place to be, please inform me of options. i am running Print Shop23 Deluxe on Windows 7. i have never had any issues with it since i installed it which is probably over 2 years ago. two days ago, i was working on a project and i could no longer insert pictures or graphics from my picture file. when i click on insert, a page comes up with my pictures on it. i click on the desired graphic and it locks up the software. i have to shut down my system to get print shop off of my computer screen. this is very unexpected and i truly don't know where to turn. so if anyone has any insight or if i need to go someplace else, i am looking for any info. thank you so much.

    Have you tried re-installing PSP?

Can you run a system file check to verify your system files?

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW

Read here for more information SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

i have re-instaled PSD twice. i did run the registry scan and there were errors. can those only be repaired through purchased software? the reason i re-installed PSD was that i was also having issues with my media pictures. that required a new driver so i got that installed and it is working fine. i thought maybe there was a connection between the two issues but there was not. again, thank you for your time

i just pulled up the program and was able to insert graphics onto the page from my pictures. don't know if it is permanent, but will take it at this point. will certainly figure out how to get rid of those errors. i am sure that they are hinderng my system. i thank you for your time.
