    QBasic Program to run on Windows 7 64-bit machine


    Hi All,
    I am having a Qbasic application that is designed to work on 32 bit machines.Now i am migrating to "windows 7" 64-bit machine.

    What are the Changes i need to carry on?
    How can i make the application run successfull?

    suggest me the work flow to be done.

    Don't get your hopes up!


    QBasic (Quick Basic) was the version of Basic before Visual Basic, which is now the current standard. QBasic ran on Windows 3.x, and any application written in QBasic required the the module named BRUN45.dll (for QBasic 4.5) to be in the application's execution path.

    There have been many changes in the language, and in Windows itself, since QBasic was released. My guess is it is highly unlikely that your QBasic application will run on Win7 and I am not aware of anything you can do about that. If it does run at all you will have to supply a copy of BRUN45.DLL (or the corresponding BRUNXX.DLL for whatever version you have.)

    You can use XP Mode on Windows 7 to use QBasic.
