6.1.7600.16385.win7_rtm.090713-1255 and Azureus I'm wondering if I'm the only one having problems with Azureus on this, the final build.
If I do anything like copy or move files while Azureus is running, the laptop freezes and won't move. I have to hold the power button down til it shutsdown. Azureus can run fine in the background while I'm watching a movie or listening to music; the problem seems only to occur when I'm moving folders/files around.
I checked my cpu and ram usage while running Azureus and they're both fine. I'm guessing that for some reason, the cpu is maxing out and causing the laptop to lock up.
This is a major problem and never occured with ANY previous build so I'm really concerned that it's happening now.

Copying files is very cpu/ram intensive, and with 2 gigs of ram you may be running thin and swapping things to pagefile slowing the computer even more. You could run task manager (right click taskbar) and watch while files are being copied. that would tell you if you are running short on resources.

I used Azereus till I simply got tired of all the resources it was eating, so I switched to uTorrent ... never looked back! Ken It happened again just now while writing a reply. So it's not just when moving files around. The other thing is that if it was a resource problem, I would have suffered from it before but have never had a problem with any of the other builds. ONLY with this one. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number tw33k OS Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1 CPU Intel 3770k 4.7GHz Motherboard ASRock Fatal1ty z77 Professional Memory 8GB (2x 4GB) G-Skill 16000CL9D (2000MHz) Graphics Card Gigabyte HD 6950 (unlocked 910/1375) Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays 27" Acer B273HU (via HDMI) Screen Resolution 2048 x 1152 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 5000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless 5000 PSU Corsair AX750 Gold Case Corsair Obsidian 800DW Cooling Phanteks PH-TC14PE 2x PH-F140 & UK 3000, 7x 120mm, 2x 140m Hard Drives Crucial C300 128GB

But still, it's not good that this should become an issue now. This is the RTM for goodness sakes. If it was gonna happen, you'd think it would have been a problem in an earlier build....makes no sense to me. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number tw33k OS Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1 CPU Intel 3770k 4.7GHz Motherboard ASRock Fatal1ty z77 Professional Memory 8GB (2x 4GB) G-Skill 16000CL9D (2000MHz) Graphics Card Gigabyte HD 6950 (unlocked 910/1375) Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays 27" Acer B273HU (via HDMI) Screen Resolution 2048 x 1152 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 5000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless 5000 PSU Corsair AX750 Gold Case Corsair Obsidian 800DW Cooling Phanteks PH-TC14PE 2x PH-F140 & UK 3000, 7x 120mm, 2x 140m Hard Drives Crucial C300 128GB

If you think thats bad, try upgrading distros' in Linux ... when I tried to upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04, my screen resolution was borked, no audio, etc etc... of course I found workarounds but I would consider myself lucky if I were you ... it could be much worse! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavillion 601 OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU Intel P4 3.4Ghz Dual Processor Motherboard Austek Memory 2GB Graphics Card Integrated 82915G Chipset 128MB Sound Card Intel HD integtrated Monitor(s) Displays HP2009m 20' HD Wide Screen Screen Resolution 1600x900 Hard Drives WD 250GB WD 500GB External Internet Speed 30mb |

This and limewire are the worst 2 p2p programs there are for spy-ware and viruses!!
Do yourself a favor and do what Tews says, use uTorrent
I wouldn't be surprised if you have spyware that is bogging down your system.
Once you have removed it, do a full scan of your PC!!

Once you have removed it, do a full scan of your PC!! I'm gonna get rid of azureus as soon as my current d/l has finished (been meaning to for ages just too lazy). I'd be surprised if it's spyware (i'm well protected but i guess you never know). I still don't see why this is happenning now. The only thing that's changed is the Windows 7 build, everything else is as it's been for ages. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number tw33k OS Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1 CPU Intel 3770k 4.7GHz Motherboard ASRock Fatal1ty z77 Professional Memory 8GB (2x 4GB) G-Skill 16000CL9D (2000MHz) Graphics Card Gigabyte HD 6950 (unlocked 910/1375) Sound Card On Board Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays 27" Acer B273HU (via HDMI) Screen Resolution 2048 x 1152 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 5000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless 5000 PSU Corsair AX750 Gold Case Corsair Obsidian 800DW Cooling Phanteks PH-TC14PE 2x PH-F140 & UK 3000, 7x 120mm, 2x 140m Hard Drives Crucial C300 128GB

you dont need to finish the download, just save the .torrent file, load it into Utorrent. Set the download directory to the directory the partial file has been downloaded to.
it will do a "Check" and continue the download. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 x64 RTM CPU Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz Motherboard Asus P5Q Deluxe Memory 4GB G.Skill 1000Mhz Graphics Card ATi 4850 512Mb Monitor(s) Displays 19" Dell Screen Resolution 1280*1024 PSU Corsair 500 Watt Case Antec 300 Cooling OCz Vendetta II Hard Drives WD 1Tb Caviar Black
