Problems with Wamp5 on Win 7

    Hello,

I have been trying to get Wamp5 to work on my 64bit Win 7 system
Intel M/board and 8 Gig Ram
My needs are to run PHP and mysql for home testing of my scripts

When I try to run it I get the Red icon in my task tray and clicking it changes it to orange. then a mouse over tells me the Server is off line
I believe there are no other apps hogging port 80 and I have disabled the auto start for steam just in case. I am not using Skype and my Torrent program appears to be blameless Utorrent
Trolling round the forums I have tried other suggestions offered with no luck so far.
This forum offers changing the Apache port to 81 but I cannot access it from the description provided
So is it a port 80 problem or something to do with W7x64

    Please help

    Topshed...

Don't know the first thing about it, but Googling I found that Wamp5 is not the current version...it is now WampServer. Have you tried it?
