remove norton from recovery disc

    The Norton Removal Tool only removes Norton from the HD drive, not a HP/Compaq Recovery DVD.

    Yes but there should be no need to remove it from a factory recovery disk in the first place. If Norton trial is on the factory restore it obviously shouldn't stop the restore.
    The OP needs to give more information on the type of recovery they are talking about.

    I was after clarification if they were talking about the operation linked to in the above post or
    HP Backup and Recovery Manager
