stefany if you open the start menu and right click "computer" and select properties it will open a page and show you the information you want.
also clicking computer will open the window that shows you how much memory you have on your drives and how much you have used

Assuming you have DirectX installed, you can also use the Start Menu to Run: dxdiag. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool contains a lot of useful infomation about your system.

For computer statistics and component temperatures HWMonitor works well.

Stefany,
The gold mine for info about your computer is presented by SIW (link in my sig).

The silver mine for info is SPECCY (once again, link in my sig).

I've also found LookInMyPC to be excellent. The best feature is you can select particular items to print out in table format. One thing I did after tuning Vista pre-SP1 edition(which required lots of services research and tuning) was print out a table with all my services and their settings and current state.

Sometimes hard copy is all you have when the thing won't boot.
