JavaRa's "remove older versions" option breaks JavaRa's updater?

I downloaded JavaRa because I was told it was a quick and secure way to maintain my Java updates and will help me remove old insecure versions. This sounded great so I am using it, however I am having an issue. When I use JavaRa's "remove older versions" option it runs without issue but after it is finished I am not able to check for updates using JavaRa, has anyone else had this issue? It doesn't make sense that using part of the JavaRa tool would render another part totally broken.

    G'day Rolo,

I've always manaully uninstalled Java, and then installed the latest and greatest - this is the recommend strategy.

Give this a whirl, and see if it helps (it will tell you about any Java issues):

Oh i use Secunias tool all the time, i have it installed, the JavaRa tool simply checks for updates and does some cleaning of old versions which is why I like it. Are you suggesting I remove old version manually and install new version manually?

    Hi Rolo,

Yes, do the manual uninstallation (Control Panel > Program Files), and then download and install the latest from the Java website.

I've never used the JavaRA tool before, so I can't comment specifically on it.
