    Burning .img to USB Stick

I want to burn a .img file to a flash drive. I don't want to have to install DLL's like in Windows Image Writer. How do I do this?

    Hello Orcris,

You might try Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3 | USB Pen Drive Linux . My system has ever been infected and unable to use any other make USB bootable tools including with Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool , Universal USB Installer solved the problem.

    Just one another opinion :)

Are you talking about an .iso file (some microsoft downloads are set as iso's) or an image file (like a picture)?? If it's an ISO, you are best off using a DVD (depending on the size, a DVD Dual Layer will be needed), but if it's just a picture, you can copy/paste the file to your pen drive.

    Further info needed though.

I'm not really sure if burning .img files onto usb disks can be achieved by just windows programs.
