as most will tell you don't use any registry cleaners . windows 7 dose a good job of keeping things going by its self. but if your going to use one anyway i think cc cleaner is about the best..

no it don't have a registry cleaner . i guess it has something to do with the way windows 7 uses the registry that keeps it clean.

forgot to add that most registry cleaners will do more bad then good to your system. so if i were you i'd stay away
    from cleaning the registry altogether.

Windows 7 doesn't seem to get the leftover files and jumbled registry as earlier OS did. +1 for Ccleaner. You can also use revo uninstaller to ensure all remnants of a program are removed when deleting.

Registry cleaners? If you insist on using them you might as well delete system32, maximum speed!!

My favorite registry cleaner is jv16 PowerTools. Apart from the "cleaning" aspect itself, it also has a "Find" function which, unlike regedit.exe itself, will show you all the keys where your search term is found, and you can pick-and-choose which ones to remove. Of course, it also has a Backup feature in case you want to restore anything, or even just go-back and look to see "now what was it I removed last month"... Highly recommended, but like anything involving the Registry, you had better know the implications of what you are doing.

99 out of 100 times, I don't need to fix or clean my registry. In case something really terrible happens, I guess I would turn to the registry cleaner of CCleaner....but that would be last resort.

The only registry cleaner I would recommend universally is the one in CCleaner. It is not overly aggressive, and I have not seen any instances of it borking anyone's system (although I'm sure it is possible in the right circumstances). I have Glary Utilities, and jv16 Power Tools, but have thoroughly tested them on my system after making fresh backup images. I will not suggest them , as your system will differ. A Guy
