It worked for me so thats all that matters :) I used to have an older version of Paragon and I would just delete the partition so it is unallocated space and then I could then resize using the unallocated space but I see the more recent versions dont let you.

    Oh well, sorted now.

+1. GParted can be very useful. It can recognise disks when windows based apps. can't.

I suggest being very careful with all third party partition managers. Many people hose their systems and then blame the app.

the more recent versions dont let you.
Mine does - were you using the trial version? I believe they only let you perform the operation virtually , i.e. it shows what it would do - but won't actually do it in the trial.

I just checked - that is indeed the case.

Trial version Restrictions Partition Manager 10 Personal :

Only diagnostic and search functions are fully functional.

Glad you got it sorted, anyhow.

Yeah, with Paragon if you want to try it out, you are better off looking for an Express version of the particular utility since what they refer to as "trial versions" are really demos. If you want to check out Paragon Drive Backup Personal as example, download Paragon Drive Backup Express and see if it works with your hardware. The demos don't really let you know squat.
