Windows 7 - My Sony Vegas 10 is messing up I need help

Im not the smartest tech person in the world but for some reason anytime i put my video on vegas it gets all zoomed in to where I can only see a small portion of the video. For example when playing the game gears of war 3. Whenever i go to the title screen it shows the gears of war title on vegas but the 3 is cutoff a little bit and the whole bottom is missing. I've asked everyone and i've done everything from setting it to best(auto), matching media settings, and cropping. One thing i did notice was how when cropping I would zoom out to the fullest But the base of the video would be the same. Example I zoomed the gears 3 video out when it was at the title screen but Nothing happened
