CCleaner always prompts to allow change?

I am using CCleaner-64 bit and every time I use it, I am prompted if I want to allow the program to make changes to the computer. This is a real pain. Anyway to stop this prompt?

The only two ways that I know are Elevated Program Shortcut without UAC Prompt - Create and simply disable UAC. I have disabled UAC and have never looked back.

OK, I have follwed Brink's excellent tutorial, and everything looked just fine: Got the CC icon on the desktop, have the file in: "C:\Windows\System32\schtasks.exe /run /tn CCleaner," but when double clicking the icon I get a too fast to read frame and no CCleaner.

Also, are you also saying that after setting up the icon I have to also disable the UAC? I thought that all I had to do was follow Brink's tutorial as disabling the UAC would defeat my security purposes???

You can run a desktop dock in an elevated mode and the programs you start from it will not give you the UAC prompt. Here is a couple to look over.

UAC prompts revisited
This comment from another thread made me again revisit the UAC prompt. Certainly, if you run a new application the first time and tell Windows its OK by right-clicking the installer and choosing Run As Administrator, you shouldn't get any more prompts the next time you run it. I don't have...

UAC Prompts disappeared
Howdy to everyone, I recently did a restore image due to problems. Everything seems to be running alright except that I don't get the UAC prompt windows before a clicked program runs. I thought this was an added layer of protection and if so, would like it to happen. What did I do, not do and...

Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to copy folders & files without getting the "Confirm Folder Replace" and the "Copy And Replace" prompts. I am wanting to copy & overwrite files when an older one exists, and do this without receiving prompts. Is this possible?

IE prompts to download everything
Hi, I installed Windows 7 yesterday, and it was working fine, until (after installing several applications) I noticed I can't display anything with IE any more. Firefox is my default browser, however if I open IE, instead of displaying the page I just get a standard download prompt. I haven't...
