| mac 1 posts | Skype couldn't open What are some solutions for skype not being able to open in Windows 7? When I open Skype a window pops up and says "skype has stopped working", there's an option "check for solution" but it doesn't work either. I've tried everything: uninstall and reinstall, I looked through the internet and tried everything people suggested like deleting share.xml file and some other files. It's no use. Anyone can help? Thanks! |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64/Windows 8 Consumer Preview x64/Ubuntu 11.04 8,372 posts Somewhere Over The Rainbow | Find the .exe file that you use to open Skype. This could be in C:\Program Files\Phone or a shortcut on your Desktop. Right click the file and click on the Compatibility tab. Make sure nothing is checked and restart Skype. |
