    InstallerShield updater

My son (I have got him to join up) has a custom self made build he does a bit of gaming on and had this annoying error pop up on boot # -5 and it went into a larger screen etc on OK.

We managed to disable it in misconfig now as it wasn't an OS app does it matter that it doesn't run because all I could find was it just checked for software updates and as most of our favourites do this anyway - is it worth getting it back on again.?

Am asking because I couldn't find any reference to it in Control Panel > Programs and Features but did in Programs updates 32bit.

His machine has a six core Phenom 1090T with 4GB RAM and ran rather slowly until we did what we did.

It's not really an urgent thing but more one out of curiosity as to why it was there.

I'm a believer is manually updating stuff. Just because if you change 2 things at once, if it goes bad, there's doubt which update is the bad one.

For now I would say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. :)
