FREE Screenshot Programs

I'm hoping someone could recommend a good screenshot program for me. It has to be free!

TIA!

Hello Emerald.

Windows 7 includes a great free program called Paint to take screenshot with.

if you don't need to capture the whole screen, the snipping tool is very useful.

there isn't a tutorial on this sevenforums, but there's a very good one for vista - the 7 version works in the same way.

I find Snipping Tool very practical, also with full screen screenshots.

Thanks a lot guys!

I just got in from work and am happy to see the response!

I think I tried Gadwin before and it did not work under the non-admin accounts. We'll see.

I really am liking the snip tool!

Don't have to install anything extra!

i like WinSnap myself. it's not free, but it does quite well with Windows 7. pinned to the taskbar, its jumplist gives you quick access to the different capture types available. it captures aero windows very cleanly, even clipping out the round corners, and it cleans up whatever is showing behind the glass for a nice tidy image.

i use it along with FastStone Capture - it just depends on what kind of screenshot i need...
