    Question on malwarebytes software.

I'm currently running MSE, and downloading comodo firewall. I've read on the forums, that malwarebyte had nice software to run as a back up to MSE, But I have a question about it. Are people that are using the malwarebyte using the free or pro editions?

    Thanks for the input!

My guess is the free version. It is the same software only the free version only does on demand updates and scanning. Good to use from time to time to scan your system. The pro version, which I use, can be set to auto update and auto run a scan on a set schedule.

I think most people just use the free one.

Just remember to check for updates before you run the scan so definitions are current.

    blaten22,

    Slightly off topic...

For Windows 7 OS the Windows Firewall is recommended as being appropriate.

No firewall can protect you absolutely if you DON'T surf sensibly staying away from sites known to cause problems.
NEVER randomly click on things you know nothing about.

All computers here use the Win 7 inbuilt firewall by choice.
Coupled with a solid Router Firewall we have never had any intrusions yet.

BTW > Malwarebytes Pro is used here.

I use Online Armor x64, its a 2-way firewall like Comodo, although I find OA more user friendly.
If you REALLY want to test a firewall and see if its doing the job, do the firewall leak test at Gibson Research, https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
Defiantly worth the trip there, lots of other goodies as well.

MBAM PRO, has realtime blocking, is in my house.
