    Can't install Corel Painter

WHen I try to install Corel Painter I get to the screen with click "I agree" to accept the EULA, the install will not proceed from there. Clicking NEXT does nothing all I can do is cancel the install.

I have tried "compatibility settings", run as administrator, changing ownership, UAC and several other things. Nothing works.

Corel assures me it a Win 7 problem and MS says they don't know what the problem is.

This problem is not limited to only Corel products either.

    Any ideas?

Dont know about corel painter, but I use corel draw. Similarly, after accepting, it stops ; but in task manager it is still running there. After a lag about 5 minutes, the installer starts.

So you also let it a time, I hope it will behave the same.

Thanks ARC but waiting does nothing.

This is one of those problems both Corel and Microsoft don't seem to care about.

    Darcy,
Is this a legitimate disc and not Pirate software?
My Corel Draw Graphics Suite 5x comes with Corel Draw and Corel Paint....not Painter.

Keep us posted if more help is needed.

Why would you think it was pirated?
Painter can be purchased by itself. I never said I had Corel Suite of any kind.

I have also tried my version of Painter (11) (paid for) and the trial version of Painter 12. It is the same/similar problem with every one.

Painter is NOTHING like Paint, they are 2 completely different programs.

My apologies if I was referring to you having pirated software as I have not come across Painter.
    Is software made by Corel?
Before I ask any more stupid questions I will go into corel and check it out.

    Darcy,
Here is a snap of Corel.com where you can pull down and ask for help.

Windows New User Account Solved Problem

I wanted to post a reply because I've had the same problem and I've used hours to get it fixed. At the end, I went to a website that said these are Problems with Windows Accounts], and even though I was the Administrator and everything, all I needed to do was to create a new (guest) account. I think it also has all privileges. I made a new account, and my trial version installed right away. After many hours of trying, it worked, and I hope it works for you as well.
