    QQ Instant messanger

I ran the english and chinese versions of QQ Chat, instant message program,
so i could talk to all my friends in china.

when i try and run QQ (Instant messanger) in windows 7, i get the error

"application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

    X_x.

less than 48 hours into Windows 7.
And im already ready to stop using it, simply due to wasted time searching for compatability fixes.

Im really really trying to stick with it.
Im not really understanding how They would expect me to pay even 49.99.
its slightly faster here and there, graphics are cute... menus are.. randomly effecient. the tiny 3d FPS loss...

    I would consider buying it,
IF it were backwards compatable. But its just another Vista fail atm : (
It didnt fall down 8 flights of stairs, breaking all its bones and taking friends with it.. but it still is basically fail atm : ( simple to due imcompability.

I dont feel like waiting 2 years for win7 to "catch up" in compatability.

Heh. I guess Ill buy it in a few years.

    Sorry to rank. Dissapointed.

how many millions did they spend? how long has it been?

in terms of "reliability"... it gets a +2 and -3....

Are you sure this is a Win7 problem, or is it a problem on QQ Chat's end?

Er, QQ worked in windows XP within the least 48 hours.
It should be capable of running in win7.

I tried running in XP sp2 sp3 compat mode.
