Was not prompted to reboot, but did it immediately after successful installation, version is 8.722.0.0, the same it was before, or is it actually the latest version, and 11.11 update meant only to update those AMD control utilities?

How can it be checked if it is the latest version available or not?
Ok to check if everything is installed do you have the AMD Catalyst Control Center if you right-click your desktop ?
Yes, I had AMD Catalyst Control Center, before and now instead of it, it is AMD Vision Engine Control centre which seems to have the same functionality.
Ok if you go to AMD Vision Engine Control centre and check the version what does it say ?

When run AMD Vision Engine Control centre, have the Information part below, click on it shows Information product, this has two options hardware and software, the hardware option would show adater frequencies etc.., software part shows:
    2D driver version: 8.01.01.1016
    Direct 3D version: 8.14.10.0743
    OpenGL version: 6.14.10.9752
is this I had to check, and does the info above show the driver was updated?

    did you mean this?

Sorry Ok, there is also AMD Vision Engine Control version: 2011.1025.2231.38573
but I am more concerned about driver update rather than AMD control software update

OK, it shows the same: 2011.1025.2231.38573
but does this mean I have the latest adapter drivers installed as well?

Does driver update has anything to do with NET.framework, as I noticed it is written that AMD Engine Control is based on NET.Framework, do I need to update the NET.framework as well, if you remember I told you I couldn't completely update my Windows recently and one of two remaining updates was NET.framework update

Maybe I was right maybe that just installed the Catalyst Center
I suggest you still try to install the driver from the first tab like I said :)
And yah maybe install Net Framework 4 :) but that doesn't have anything to do with the driver version

You may be right, but that first tab would give me utility to dowload this file: 11-11_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe, which i have already downloaded from individual download part, and during custom installation display drivers was among options to install with AMD Vision Engine Control Centre and some others, I checked to install all, don't think first tab will be different, but if you say you 100% sure it will, and know something I don't know please tell.

Just don't want to redownload the same thing, and the speed has dropped down dramatically now

The one from the first tab is only 1.2 MB so just try it and install it and report it back :)

Well the problem with that 1.2MB was that after download and run mobilitycatalyst.exe, it stucks with 30MB downloaded, I still believe the driver package was updated as Driver Package version shows 8.722, but don't know why it won't show in device manager driver version.

OK, anyway now I have a better Control centre at least )))
Have to go, now. Thank you all, this seems to be the greatest forum, as many problems are solved here, with lots of information.
