"User Account Control" error started showing

I keep getting the error: "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" This occurs when I open my email program Eudora. I have had this program on the computer for about 2 years and never had any problem until 3 days ago.

Alright, go to the icon for Eudora, right click the icon, go to properties, go to compatibility, and uncheck the last box in the list "Run this program as an administrator"

Does this fix the problem?

The item is "grayed out" and has a check mark in it. Can't do anything with it!

This happens only with Eudora?

Have you recently updated Eudora? Or have you recently changed your UAC settings? It sounds to me like this is intentional behavior, either caused by an update to Eudora and it needing access to other areas of your system, or it was caused by a change in your UAC settings.

I went one step further under Properties and looked under "Change Settings for all users" and unchecked "Run as administrator" that also cleared the check mark in the first step and it stopped the error message from appearing!

Good news! Let us known if that has any unforeseen side effects.
